Meet Dr. Thuy Tran
Thuy Tran’s family came to this country when she was a young child. Growing up in a low-income household she saw why it is critical that we support families to ensure they succeed. Through hard work and community investments, Thuy was able to earn a doctoral degree in Optometry and open her own business – serving the residents of the Hollywood neighborhood. She has given back, serving on the Parkrose School Board and as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Oregon Air National Guard. Thuy is running for the legislature to lead on homelessness, housing, health care, and ensuring opportunity for all. That is why she is overwhelmingly supported by the progressive leaders and organizations we trust.

Biography
Lt Col Tran, Thuy C
Lt Col Tran is the Chief of Optometry for the 142d Medical Group, Oregon Air National Guard, Portland, Oregon. In this capacity her responsibilities include overseeing all organization and operations of the optometry clinic. In addition, Lt Col Tran is the SGB (Biomedical Science Corps Executive), mentoring 30 Biomedical Science Corps airmen of the 142nd Medical Group and facilitating progressive career growth and enhanced wing medical readiness.
